Sustainability is a core aspect at ENJAZ, we believe that the best way to achieve sustainable success is to act in the long-term interests of our clients, shareholders, partners, as well as society.

Through our activities, we contribute to the economic and social well-being of a range of stakeholders including our employees, customers, business partners, governmental entities and the community in large.

We also seek to minimize the Environmental Impact of our activities and to Promote Sustainable Development by conserving energy, materials and resources through minimizing consumption, maximizing efficiency and effectively managing waste.

We strongly support Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies.

Enviromental Commitment

Environmental commitment is a way of life at ENJAZ.

It is embedded in all our sectors and is an essential concept for all our operations and services.

We are adamant in our application of environmental compliance in order to optimize assets and guarantee uninterrupted production fluidity .

We integrate our knowledge and experience within our company as well as to our clients to help reduce carbon footprint, waste, and environmental emissions for a more energy-efficient outcome.Being committed to the well-being of the environment is fundamental to any work in the industry, and we ENJAZ thrive in that respect.

As with every other field, at ENJAZ, we believe there are four pillars of Sustainability.

Those pillars are: Environment, Market/Supply Chain, Society/Community, and Workplace.

Each pillar is effectively tackled by our company’s goals

Enviroment

Sustainability in the environment entails reducing waste and carbon footprint. In orderfor ENJAZ to do so, we must first be aware and keep track of our contribution to the environment. We set a goal and strive to achieve and maintain it. We do so by making sure we follow through with the following:
1. Recycling
– We will be separating organic and non-organic waste into their respective bins. This will minimize our contribution to landfills. Moreover, the use of recycled paper will aid in the reduction of our carbon footprint. The aforementioned paper will be produced by our sister company Proseed Community Development.
2. Minimizing Energy Consumption
– We will be reducing our consumption of energy by unplugging electronics when not in use, using energy efficient light bulbs, and using the air conditioning only when necessary.

These practices will be fundamental within our company, and our employees will be vigorously encouraged to abide by them. We will also purchase from environmentally responsible suppliers whenever possible. Biannual reports on energy consumption will be addressed to control the waste of electricity.

Marketplace / Supply Chain

We will always strive to restrict our suppliers to those who do not infringe on human rights, labor, and corruption. This will be important work, albeit challenging, as it will strengthen our company’s principle values when it comes to sustainability in the marketplace. We aim to applying such values by implementing the following:

1. Sharing Knowledge with Suppliers (SKS)
– We will be educating our suppliers on the importance of eliminating corruption and child labor.
2. Code of Conduct
– We will be drawing up a code of conduct to be presented to our suppliers and stakeholders on their obligations and roles, where they will be obliged to sign prior to any contracted work.
3. Formalize Trusted Suppliers
– We will be compiling a list of our trusted suppliers to be able to inform prospective companies about sustainability to enable more companies to do the same.

Society

Sustainability is imperative for society. Due to the nature of our business, ENJAZ can support any given community or cause, and we encourage our corporate clients to do the same. In order for us to effectively do so without hindering our company’s image,we will be choosing selected causes and reputable NGO’s.
This selective work will ensure our association with sustainable sources.

Workplace

Sustainability in the workplace entails that we retain high caliber employees that understand and execute our goals toward a sustainable workforce. Sustaining our workplace will be implemented as follows:
1. Retaining High Caliber Employees 
– We will be hiring candidates that are committed to making a difference, and enjoy being a pioneer in Egypt.
2. Investing in Career Development 
– We will be investing in our employees by making training and workshops available quarterly. They will also be encouraged to share their acquired knowledge and discuss it amongst
colleagues frequently.
3. Motivate Employees by Changing Work Setting 
– We will be conducting meetings outside the office on a monthly basis to give the employees a shift in work setting. We believe that this entices creativity, and excites the routine.

HSE Management System

The management system defines the core principles of health, safety and the environment while relating them to our local and regional operations. It furthermore communicates those principles to all employees, customers, contractors, and third parties.

Moreover, it encompasses eight interrelated components:

  • Commitment , Leadership and Accountability.
  • Policies and Objectives.
  • Organization and Resources.
  • Contractor and Supplier Management.
  • Risk Management.
  • Business Processes.
  • Performance Monitoring and Improvement.
  • Audits and Reviews.

    These are continuously improved by conformance checks that cover controls , corrections and improvements as follows:

  • On day-to-day standards and procedures (controls)
  • On the management system (corrections)
  • Through modifications to the management system (improvements).

HSE Policy Statement

ENJAZ success depends profoundly on the ability to constantly improve the quality of our services and products.

In doing so we protect the core principles of HSE and emphasize human health, operational safety, environmental protection, quality enhancement, and community goodwill.

ENJAZ requires all employees and contractors to commit to QHSE policies and standards.

These policies and standards are as follows:

  • Protect, and strive for improvement of health, safety and security of our people at all times.
  • Meet specified customer requirements and ensure continuous customer satisfaction.
  • Set Quality & HSE performance objectives, measure results, assess and continually improve processes, services and product quality by applying an effective management system.
  • Plan for, respond to and recover from any emergency crisis and business disruption.
  • Minimize our impact on the environment through pollution prevention, reduction of natural resource consumption and emissions as well as the reduction and recycling of waste.
  • Apply our technical skills to all HSE aspects in the design and engineering of our services and products.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Corporate Social Responsibility is an imperative aspect of ENJAZ.

We believe that responsibility must be instigated from within, and we thrive on our commitment to our customers as well as employees.

The internal community at ENJAZ is developed and maintained by the integration of job creation and quality education.

In the corporate world, we embrace several initiatives to support underprivileged segments of the community.

This breeds the social responsibility that is essential to sustaining a healthy work environment for employees as well as customers.

ENJAZ will maintain a healthy financial return after for long-term continuity .

Achieving good grades is with us but not at the expense of our people or our environment, this is the core of our CSR policy .

In addition to pursuit of profit, we also consider the effects of its activities on the environment and we have an eye for human aspects internally & externally

ENJAZ does not engage in any illegal conduct, such as, bribery or corruption and the practice of unfair competition. Equally important, are our dealings with governments and governmental agencies are based upon honest representations and discussions; bribery in any form and other improper conduct are strictly prohibited.
